The Melting Pot

I had a coupon, so we went to the Melting Pot last week. Amy and the kids picked me up from work. Right before we walked in the door, I said "Everyone on their best behavior, starting . . . . . . . . NOW!" and let them in. They immediately could sense that were weren't at IHOP and learned that this place is "fancy." So, they decided to make fancy poses while we were waiting to be seated.

Gosh, I love the Melting Pot. Today, since we had coupon, we got the dinner combo that included a lobster tail. The kids, when the saw it, asked "Do we have to eat that?" It was music to my ears. No my sweet children, Mom and Dad will save you from nasty old lobster tail.

Here we have a generic pic of the "melting pot" and some of the stuff we were eating. It was funny that the kids really weren't prepared for this meal. It was so foreign to them, they really didn't eat much. They completely rejected the cheese fondue at the beginning and just at plain bread! It was astonishing to see them miss out on so much of the experience. Oh well, more for me. Liam did love the ravioli and chicken.

Here is the aftermath of the dessert pot. The kids did take full advantage of this, however. It was fun. The Melting Pot is also funny, because you think you haven't eaten much, everything was "just a bite", but by the end, we were stuffffffed.

That looks incredibly fun. Especially for those kids. You did a good job that day.
